A Boilerhouse Original

An Evening with
Edgar Allan Poe

“Quoth the Raven — Nevermore.”

Candlelight, a red door, and the grim devotion of souls unmoored. The Company descends into the macabre heart of Poe — his ravens, his requiems, his midnights dreary — for an intimate evening of the gothic and the unforgettable, staged in the round amid the boilerhouse's stone and steel.

Our Home

A stage with soot under its fingernails.

The Boilerhouse Theatre Company takes its name — and its spirit — from Sunbury's old industrial heart: a brick chimney against the moon, stone walls that have held the heat of a hundred winters, and a room that refuses to forget the work that once happened inside it.

We are a community of performers, directors and makers who have been treading these boards for decades. We stage the classics and the curious — Shakespeare and Austen, musicals and the macabre — with the conviction that big stories belong in intimate rooms.
